PC Hardware Requirements for e-Invoicing in Malaysia
Don’t Let Old Hardware Crash Your LHDN Compliance.
The 2026 LHDN mandate isn’t just a software update—it’s a hardware test. Upgrade to the Inspur Tech Standard and ensure your AutoCount runs without lag, timeouts, or data loss.
Why Software is Only Half the Battle
You wouldn’t put a Ferrari engine in a Kancil. Yet, many businesses
run powerful 2026-era accounting software on 2019-era office PCs.
The bottleneck isn’t your internet connection—it’s the Data Write Speed.
Every time you issue an e-Invoice, your PC must:
- 1. Generate a unique XML file.
- 2. Digitally sign it (Encryption).
- 3. Send it to the LHDN API for validation.
- 4. Receive the validated token and write it back to your local SQL database.
The Consequence: If your PC is running on an old Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or low RAM (4GB/8GB),
this 4-step process creates a “digital traffic jam.” A 3-second delay per invoice becomes hours of lost
productivity when you process hundreds of bills a month.
Recommended PC Specs for AutoCount
& SQL Account (e-Invoicing Ready)
We build the engine that runs your business. To ensure you never face a “Validation Timeout” error or a system crash during closing, we recommend upgrading to the Inspur Tech Compliance Standard:
Multitasking: Why 8GB RAM is Dead
Windows 11 alone consumes nearly 4GB of RAM. Add a web browser (Chrome/Edge), your email, and the heavy SQL Server required for AutoCount, and an 8GB system will freeze.
The Upgrade: We install a minimum of 16GB DDR4/DDR5 RAM.
The Result: Smooth multitasking. You can have AutoCount, Excel, and LHDN portals open simultaneously without lag.
Security: Synology Active Backup (Ransomware Protection)
What happens if your main PC crashes or gets hit by Ransomware?
The Solution: We implement Synology Active Backup solutions.
How it Works: Your financial data is automatically mirrored to a local NAS (Network Attached Storage) every hour.
The Benefit: Even if the internet goes down or a PC fails, your data is safe and accessible locally within minutes. Zero Data Loss.
LHDN e-Invoicing Hardware Requirements Checklist
| Component | Minimum (Risk) | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Intel i3 / Ryzen 3 | Intel i5 / Ryzen 5 |
| RAM | 8GB | 16GB or 32GB |
| Storage | SATA SSD | Gen4 NVMe SSD |
Frequently Asked Question(FAQ)
Can I just upgrade my RAM and keep my old Hard Disk?
We strongly advise against it. The biggest bottleneck in modern accounting is the hard drive. Upgrading RAM helps with multitasking, but if you are still using an old HDD, AutoCount will still load slowly. The SSD is the most critical upgrade for speed.
My current PCs are i5 but 6 years old (6th Gen). Are they okay?
Likely not for Windows 11. Microsoft has ended support for many older processors (pre-8th Gen) for Windows 11 upgrades. Since e-Invoicing deals with security, running an outdated, unsupported Windows OS is a security risk.
How long does the upgrade process take?
Inspur Tech minimizes downtime. We clone your existing data to the new SSDs so you don’t lose your settings. Usually, a single workstation upgrade takes 2-3 hours, including data migration.
